I'm glad you're happy with it. SOunds like you had a nice Christmas. But, strictly from a shooter's standpoint, the Ruger P89 has to be one of the biggest pieces of crap you can get. No offense.

it may be a piece of crap to you, but they are inexpensive, mags are plentiful and cheap, and they go bang every time you pull the trigger.

the only ruger i owned was a 10/22, but a buddy of mine carrys his p89 religiously

haha...well I have a few people telling me it's a nice gun and then one guy telling me it's a piece. Which one is it?! I like it a lot, I don't know much about guns, but from what I can tell it's a decent gun. I'm happy anyways...

Well, Sean only uses it to penetrate bases of militant oppositions, so he should be ok...now if it was just for shooting, that'd be a whole different story then it's a piece of crap!

Or is it the other way around....I can never remember!

the ruger isnt a peice of shit, because it serves its fucking purpose, right? now there may be more expensive, and overall better made weapons out there (perhaps the glock .45) but thats besides the point. as long as you are happy with it, then dont worry what other people think about it. oh yea....and get a glock next time.

I dunno....my buddy is a sherrif's deputy and I shot his Glock 9mm, didn't like it at all. Felt cheap and plasticky. It fired pretty well, but as far as the look and general feel it seems...eh.

not a bad gun to start with, i own a Ruger mark 2 and its what the navy seals use for target practice, so you know if they use it then there is nothing wrong with ruger. i strongly recommend if you have never shot, to use the 9mm and then when u get better bump up to a 10mm and see the difference. Dont forget about ur .357 sig, .40 S&W, and the classic .45ACP.........Try a Sig Sauer out and i want to hear back

^it's a lock, goes through the chamber and magazine..hole?

^^likely. i was there for about 3 hours haha

^^^^yea I was at a gunshop and just holding a Sig i could tell i want one, it had excellent balance and just felt good. actually, if i get assigned to what job i want in the AF, the Office of Special Investigations (extremely tough to get), they issue Sig Sauers as side arms, glorious!
