actually, i went to a private preschool, private elementary school, and a private middle/high school.
edit: my and my younger brothers' tuition for public college is paid completely out of pocket. the same goes for when i went to USF, no financial assistance.
aaaaand do taxes not pay for the military? shit's definitely not "free." ah and i'll be gtfo asap. in regards to the french military: you've obviously never seen a bastille day parade.

i lived with a french exchange student for a year, he was from paris. according to him, paris has the highest concentration of anti-american sentiment, but in stark contrast, the coast-- normandy, etc, absolutely love america and are still brought to tears at the thought of what we did for them. these are his words, not mine... as i have never been there so i wouldnt know.
