No they aren't. I think it's a waste of money. And if a woman wants to feel that she is loved or cared for by a man, material posessions should be the last thing on her mind. If a guy proclaims his love for a woman or shows her by doing small gestures and, I guess you can say, taking care for her, than that woman should be happy and greatful that their guy is nice enough to show this affection.
...now this works both ways.

haha.. I have to disagree.. I love the diamonds and jewelry.. my bf bought me a beautiful ring for my birthday and diamond earrings for christmas.. eveytime I look at the ring I think of him.. and the earrings have never left my ears.. Its a way to have him with me at all times .gif)

Eh I dont love diamonds but I do like saphires. Ive got plenty of jewelry from ex's but I certainly dont expect it.
