yah, I did get it for a GREAT deal! =) Sorry he's not willing to part with any more, John...

And yeah, JustferFun: This baby needs to be brought back to A1 spec, which isn't too difficult to do.

Hey elm3r - What do u think about the glock 21 or the smaller version 30? Know anyone that's selling handguns? After I get a little money, I'll be starting my collection.

The 21 and 30 are both excellent pieces. I dunno, though: Call me a purist, but if I'm gonna shoot something chambered in .45ACP, it'll be a 1911. =)

My favorite Glocks are the 22, 23, and especially the 27: pretty much everything chambered in .40 S&W, which is an EXCELLENT self-defense round (that's currently used by the FBI).

you could have just had my glock 21, sold it no more than 2 weeks ago. most accurate gun i owned, but i needed the money.

i kept my glock 27, nice, powerful piece.

i will buy another 21, when i have a little more money, just too sweet a gun to give up. plus i can make the ammo cheap. i also plan on buying a glock 20, the 10mm rd fascinates me.

i work part time at a gunshop (ask elm3r, he has seen some of the stuff i work on ) and i may be able to help you find some stuff. right now, he has brand new philippine 1911's in full size (5"), commander (4"), and hi cap (10 rd double stack) for $339 ea. you cant beat that for a new 1911, unless you are elm3r, and you rape someone for it ;)

hey John, I didn't rape him for it. HE offered it to ME for that price! =) But you've gotta remember: the kid has a 1919 Remington UMC, 1919 Colt, and a 1943 Ithaca/Colt coming in the mail. So to him, this 1943 Colt/Remington Rand was just a gun-cabinent space hog. =) Didn't you also say you guys carried those new Rock Island M1911A1's for a good price as well?

I woulda bought that 21 off of ya if I'd already had this 1911. But that was the priority. Next on the list is a 1943-dated Garand. Then a 1903A3. Then, a 1943-dated M1A1 Thompson FA SBR. =)

The G27 just amazes me with it's size. It's crazy that 10 shots of .40 S&W fit into that little son-of-a-bitch. That's one thing I would NOT like to see someone waving at me. =)

-=-=-=-

Japerez7, I can vouch for the good shit that Kf4zra's shop has! It's a great shop to deal with, and is by FAR the cheapest place around to get an FFL done. So, if you wanna buy a piece, talk to him. He'll set you straight.

If you want a great handgun that won't give many problems and that is EASILY modifiable, get a 1911. Damn thing's been around since, well, 1911. Because of that, there's more modded parts availible for it than the democratic party has crybabies (which, believe me, it has in plentiful amounts). =)
