Peter Venkman, PhD: As chairman of the Ghostbusters, Dr. Venkman is responsible for the direction of the Ghostbusters. With PhD's in both parapsychology and psychology, Dr. Venkman is uniquely qualified to understand the minds of regular and supernatural beings alike, thus making him invaluable when dealing with those circumstances when the two worlds occassionally collide. Dr. Venkman's main field of study is in psychic phenomenon. Before cofounding the Ghostbusters, Dr. Venkman's studies on psychic phenomenon at Columbia University were lauded for both their vision and scientific detail. In academia, Dr. Venkman is well known as a consummate "Man of Science". Being a man of compassion, Dr. Venkman often goes well beyond the call of duty when assisting clients in their most desperate hour.
