Sandman 1 Photos	Um, this is either the cover of Geoff Johns' current Green Lantern series (where the conflict between Batman, who represents dark and fear, versus Green Lantern, who represents light and fearlessness), or the cover of Darkest Knight, an Elseworlds storyline that takes place in another universe where Bruce Wayne, the pinnacle of mankind, accepts the cosmic ring. While the previous story happens in the current DC universe, it's a cover and thus, you shouldn't expect the story to feature a ring-toting Batman. The latter is out of continuity, and is more or less a "what if" story. On a related note, it was revealed in the 80's that Dick Grayson, Robin at the time, would have inherited the ring, but he was too young at the time to take dying Abin Sur's ring.
