The CAP's 172s are lucky they get off the ground.

101 kts IAS.......Ever wonder where the model name came from? 101kts = 116.15 mile per hour, which is equal to .152 Mach. Unless you're at manuvering speed of 80kts, then you're manuvering at 1/500000000th the speed of sound...(yea, right)
Let's see if I remember the numbers from the little two seater crate, shall we?
85 kts in the downwind at 2000 rpm....45deg to the runway, 1. carb heat 2. throttle back to 1500rpm 3. 10 deg flaps. 75kts flaps to 10deg, 70kts at 20deg, 65 at 30deg on final.
Am I close? Been a long time since I flew one of those little puppies.

You are correct, sir. My favorite maneuver so far is the power-on stall 'cause the 152 that I fly always breaks to one side and recovers :-D.

Alan: If it breaks to the left, step on the right fucking pedal harder!!!!!!!!
Has your instructor let you put it in a spin yet, or will he just allow an insipient spin?

Haha. When I saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a 152. That is cool that you are getting your license. I have been wanting to complete mine for a while, but it will have to wait 'til school is finished.

I actually think that's a 172, but I'm not sure. I see my license as one of those things that I need to get early and all at once. I've met so many people who have gone to training, but didn't finish. I don't want to let anything get in my way, so I'm going as aggressively as possible right now.

Actually, the cloud blocks the view of the rear window. Looking at the cowl, it could be a 182. Hard to tell. I know what it's not....a 177 cardinal. It was the only single Cessna built without wing struts.

^^ha! I know what you mean. Started mine when I was 13!! I had the attention span of a crack head at the time. So just sitting through the four hour class every Sunday sucked ass (at the time). I did log a few hours though (like most). It was hella fun. "One of these days I'll finish up." (like most) Right now I am slim on time and funding. *shrugs I love flyin' though.
