The foam is caused by the air entering the small hose cyclically over time, if you tilt your head back enough before releasing the small hose then your throat should open up and cause the beer to all go down in a smooth motion eliminating the "glug" and causing air to enter the small hose at a constant speed.

Maybe it is just my taste in women, but a "cool" girlfriend drinks what ever is there. Because she is not high maintenance. Just my take.
More appropriately, a cool guy would offer better beer.
