guess i am a redneck, I know what a Jack-A-Lope is!...Was this by rifle or bow? I have my hunting liscense, and deer meat is just about the best you can eat. mmm...I am from Tennessee and up there the Governor, for the hell of it purchased about 800 acres of land/wooded area, then stocked it full of deer. He lets his friends go up there and hunt. A got a little 8 point up there my first time. It almost takes the fun out of it...it's too easy! .gif) I can take a stand up a tree faster than you can blink! lol

very nice...I don't have a gun permit yet..I can't wait. I shoot all kinds and I "own" except not in my name..lol...three! Rifle's are a little bit tougher for me, but watch out for my pistol shot! I have never hunted with a gun, only bows! ...and it took me awhile to get to pull back regulation which is 40 pounds!

I have an old bow, but I haven't gone hunting with it. I want to though really bad. I love to go out and just shoot at some targets. Have you ever shot clay pigeons? Ton of fun. Where do you hunt at?

im jus messin'. my grandfather was born and raised in new york city and hes more redneck than most people ive ever met down here. maybe living in lakeland at the age of 16 for 2 years did the trick. we're talking lakeland almost 60 years ago.
i guess im a redneck cause ive watched americas funniest people with host Dan Coulier.

^^ and I mostly hunted when I lived in Tenn., however I have friends who have a trailor and access to land about two hours north of Gainesville. and opposite of you..I have always wanted to hunt with a gun. Maybe we should go out and trade! You teach me, i will teach you! lol

We never weighed this one, but 180 sounds pretty close. It was an average Mississippi deer so yeah about 180 give or take 20 pounds.

I had an 8 point, about 240 lbs., within 10 ft. of my stand! Of course, I had just climbed up the stand and didn't have the bullet chambered (our hunting club makes you walk around with an empty chamber for safety) so I had to slide it in really quietly and as I finally got the damn gun locked and loaded, something spooked him from the tall grass and he took off. It sucked because I did everything like I was supposed to and some stupid little rabbit scared him off

that sucks, I would be pretty pissed if that happened. I was sitting in a stand at the end of an open field and a huge buck probably about the same size as the one you missed crossed the field about 75 yards away. Unfortunatly my brother was using my 308 and I was stuck with using a .44 and there was no way I could hit anything that far away with that rifle
